Currently, the streaming service Disney+ only has one subscription option. There will be three variations starting on November 1. Customers who want 4K quality and Dolby Atmos will have to spend more money than previously.

Subscribers pay 8.99 euros per month or 89.90 euros per year. This ad-free membership includes 4K resolution and Dolby Atmos sound. Users can also see the collection offline on their smartphone or tablet.

30 euro increase per year
According to Golem, this model is still accessible to new users until the end of October. It will be renamed Disney+ Premium and will cost an extra 3 euros monthly. The price rises by 30 euros per year to 119.90 euros.

If the existing subscription is booked before November 1, it will be immediately upgraded to Premium at no additional cost. However, further modifications are possible, according to the streaming service.

Exact pricing, but lower quality
Those who do not wish to pay additional fees can continue using the Disney+ regular membership. Full HD is the highest resolution available. Only surround sound is offered now, rather than Dolby Atmos. Furthermore, although the Premium membership allows up to four streams concurrently, the Standard model only allows two.

The regular model with advertising is the third subscription variant. This is available only as a monthly subscription for 5.99 euros. Everything else is the same as with the ad-free basic membership, except for the offline functions.

In contrast, Netflix and Amazon Prime Video
Netflix presently provides four monthly subscription plans ranging from 7.99 to 17.99 euros. The most expensive subscription offers Netflix’s exclusive 3D audio format and 4K resolution Dolby Atmos. In other nations, the basic concept has already been phased out.

Amazon Prime Video’s price already includes 4K video. The subscription costs €8.99 per month or €89.90 per year.
